Yet in this observable fusion of ‘international’ and ‘Chinese’ characteristics, how exactly do we answer the age-old question of becoming employable in the (globalised) Chinese market?

In order to shed some light onto the processes that drive the recruitment process in China, ACYA Beijing has teamed up with the HNA Tourism Group to give you some ‘insider’ tips on the Chinese employment market and specifically on what Chinese companies, especially those set on global expansion, are looking for in fresh graduates.

The event is great chance to consolidate your understanding of application conventions, chat with HNA management and staff, all whilst mingling with aspiring young-professionals and university students within the vibrant international space here in Beijing!

The evening will start out with a 20-minute presentation from Teppo Helles the Human Resources Director of HNA Hotel Investment Group, and will be followed by a moderated panel discussion on Employability Challenges and Opportunities in China with Teppo Helles and Leonard Kong the Human Resources Director of HNA Catering Investment Group. Finally, you will have the opportunity to follow-up on particular topics of interest during a 20-minute Q&A and finish off the night with an exclusive networking session, mingling with HNA representatvies, young professionals, and fellow students.

Teppo Helles, is a senior executive with over 15 years of experience in business management and operational implementation with C-level accountability. He has a master’s degree in business management from Leiden University School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Media Technology from Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the HNA he served as the Vice-President of Service Delivery at ChinaHR overseeing all off their offline recruitment business and customer service.

Leonard Kong

Born in Singapore, Leonard got his EMBA degree from University of Hull, in the UK. He has extensive HR Management experiences in Multinational Corporations such as MSD, Hyflux, General Electric and Honeywell and is well-versed in Human Resources Management in the Asia Pacific region.
