POST EVENT UPDATE | Lianghui and Foreign Investment Law Outlook Breakfast

On Thursday the 7^th of March, Austcham China hosted a briefing on the latest developments from the Lianghui “two sessions” and China’s foreign investment law.

Our esteemed speakers Philippa Jones, Managing Director of China Policy, and Richard Bartlett, Of Counsel at King & Wood Malleson’s Beijing Office, provided valuable insights on the 2019 Work Report of Government and its indication of Chinese economic trends, along with a close reading of China’s draft foreign investment law. The draft foreign investment law will be voted on by China’s top legislative on 15 March. It is expected to involve substantive changes to current foreign investment law in China which will promote and protect foreign investment in China.
