Biography
Ms Brooke Hartigan, Minister-Counsellor (Education) at the Australian Embassy Beijing
Brooke has worked in a number of Australian Government departments predominantly focusing on social policy and criminal justice. Prior to joining the Department of Education and Training, Brooke led the Branch in the Department of Social Services responsible for establishing the National Redress Scheme for survivors of institutional child sexual abuse. She has also led efforts on children’s policy and criminal law reform. Brooke has previously lived and worked in the United Kingdom, and studied in Beijing.
