Over 100 members of the Australian community engaged with our panel of experts who engaged in a lively discussion surrounding the current state of Australia’s education sector. Brooke Hartigan commenced with a comprehensive summary of the current situation and the government’s response. Rhett Miller then covered how the education sector can continue to operate in spite of the COVID-19 headwinds, with a focus on the implementation and utilisation of digital learning systems.

The effect of the outbreak on universities was addressed by Amanda Barry, who outlined the steps ANU, and the broader tertiary education industry, are taking to continue operations as close to normal as possible. Mathew Noble rounded off the presentations covering visa particulars, making it clear that the government is endeavouring to ensure no one is disadvantaged by the outbreak fomr an immigration perspective.
