Tom Luckock

Tom Luckock is a projects lawyer based in Beijing focused on projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors.  Tom worked for Norton Rose Australia before moving to Beijing. He has been based in Beijing for more than fourteen years. He studied Chinese and undergraduate law at Renmin University. Tom is a recommended practitioner in the 2009 to 2015 editions of Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 (Climate Change and Projects and Energy sections).

Tom has acted for Chinese power companies, Chinese banks and Chinese contractors on more than 6GW of power projects in Australia, Bosnia, Brazil, Cuba, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Pakistan, Mongolia, Uruguay, Ghana, Greece, Germany, Italy and Spain. These have included, the largest solar project in the world to date (900MW Pakistan project), the largest power projects in Pakistan (Sahiwal) and Mongolia, the first wind farm in Mongolia (Salkhit) and the first offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
